Alkaline Trio - Discover Their Dark Side

 

Alkaline Trio's story dates back to 1997, when a bike messenger in Chicago named Matt Skiba packed in his drums and started playing the guitar, deciding to look for the perfect blend of musical lyrics and sound. He joined together with two friends from the messenger service, and together Matt Skiba (guitarist), Glenn Porter (drummer), and Rob Doran (bass) became Alkaline Trio.

Dan Andriano replaced Doran Alkaline Trio just prior to the release of "For Your Lungs Only." He brought a second voice and an interesting style of songwriting to the group that helped create the signature sound of the band.

The band made "Maybe I'll Catch Fire" and "Goddamnit" with indie Asian Man Records and they were done back to back in 1998 and 1999. Skiba was known to say that there was definitely a reason that the band plays the kind of music that they do, as they offer kids a little darker slice of punk rock.

There is definitely a dark side to the band that appeals to many types of people. The band has two completely different but absolutely complimentary voices that make the band what it is. The dynamic duo is none other than the guitarist and singer Skiba, with his triumphant raspy voice, and bassist and singer Andriano, with his sweet crooning voice.

Combined together they completely wreck their audiences with their bittersweet songs about drinking and drugs, loss and love, Satan and God, pain and joy. All of this comes from three young guys, about as many chords, and a healthy supply of beer, cigarettes, and heartbreak.

The album "Good Mourning" did so well on the charts that it got the band a TV spot on late-night television, as well as several summer tours. In 2005 they came out with "Crimson," which just added to their streak. They continued to tour over the summer both as the headliner and as the warm-up band for My Chemical Romance. By the fall, the band found a new home at V2 Records and soon began to work on their next record. In January 2007 Vagrant released the CD/DVD "Remains," which rounded up flip sides and rarities.

The band has grown by leaps and bounds and notched many more hit songs over the years. They have a faithful set of followers with more jumping on the bad wagon each day. With the dark twist to their music and their sorrowful overtones, one can't help but to be memorized by their unique sound.

Why Alkaline Foods Need Acidic Foods

 

There is a lot of interest in alkaline foods and foods that product alkalinity in the body. Yet, people are not learning about the importance of the alkalinity/acidity balance that creates perfect health.

While it's true that the body is slightly alkaline, there is a balance that is maintained in the body that uses acidic foods.

Pure Water - Alkaline Water

 

Ever dreamt of trekking into the high mountains, putting your hands into the crystalline blue glacial water that gushes forth through the rocks? Of drinking the pristinely pure cool water so refreshing and life giving, with the sweetness of minerals and the lightness of fairies? Now the water ionizers promise us the same experience in your own home or workplace.

For ages, man has suffered from acidity. Its effects are digestive problems, ulcers, low energy, fatigue, vulnerability to cold and even obesity. (An acid tongue or acid humour, however, may not be connected except by a long shot!)

The cause of acidity is the imbalance in alkaline-acid level in body fluids. The cure is drinking of alkaline water to restore the balance.

The pH indicators

Science has invented a scale to gauge the alkaline-acid balance in the human body. It is known as ? pH?. It has nothing to do with photography. It is derived from the French ?Pouvoire Hydrogene? an indicator of hydrogen ion activity. It employs a count of 1 to 14. At 1 is the highest acidity level, 7 is the state of balance (neutral) and 14 is the highest alkaline level.

Our entire body structure seems to be floating in water, considering that more than seventy percent of it is composed of water. We need to drink at least 3-4 litres of alkaline water daily to replenish the losses and to ensure that all acid is neutralized and that there is enough water to carry nutrients and minerals to the cells.

All this focuses on the need to use alkaline drinking water for our daily consumption. Doctors advise an alkaline level of pH 9 to 10 in the water that we drink.

What happens in a water ionizer?

Is my Body Too Acidic or Overly Alkaline?

 

The reason acidosis is more common in our society is mostly due to the typical American diet, which is far too high in acid-producing animal products like meat, eggs and dairy, and far too low in alkaline-producing foods like fresh vegetables. Additionally, we eat acid-producing processed foods like white flour and sugar and drink acid-producing beverages like coffee and soft drinks. We use too many drugs, which are acid-forming; and we use artificial chemical sweeteners like NutraSweet, Equal, or aspartame, which are extremely acid-forming. One of the best things we can do to correct an overly-acid body is to clean up the diet and lifestyle. (see Balance pH)

Alkalinity is relatively rare, but if your urine and/or saliva consistently test above 7.0 pH, start with steps 1, 2 and 3 below and continue adding steps until the desired results are achieved.


Step 1: Take Enzymes. Enzymes are very essential to our body to maintain proper Balance pH. Use 1-2 capsules of Proactazyme with each meal. For stronger action, add dosage between meals and on empty stomach
Step 2: The Correct Calcium is needed. Take all natural based calcium. This will give proper Balance pH.
